Pyjamas for Diana

Diana picked out this flannel fabric at Hancock's during a joint shopping expedition. I used Child's Play from Wild Ginger to create a pull-on pant and top.

The neck is bound with a self-fabric strip. This is the first time I've tried to do what I think is a "scrubs" type of edge finishing. It was surprisingly easy to get the point right. I thought of it as an "inside corner quilt binding" and translated the binding methods I've learned for quilting to doing this corner. Worked like a charm.

To give you an idea of how picky my daughter is, when she saw the top for the first time she looked at the point and said, "Uh oh, mom, your Stitch in the Ditch is off." Sheesh!!
